Postcards from New Zealand
To stay connected with loved ones back home, I started my “Postcards from New Zealand” painting series. All postcards are painted en plein air with gouache.
Character Design: Madame Widow
The graphic, impervious face of a killer. Madame Widow has had a few husbands… None lasted long. Bug-eyed sunglasses obscure any emotion and relate to the glossy black eyes of real spiders. Her hourglass necklace is an homage to her favorite arachnid, and perhaps a warning to her suitors that their days are numbered. Clothed in black, Madame is likely “mourning” her latest kill. Designed using Adobe Illustrator.
Campaign Design: Set Her Free
Tasked with creating a series of social campaign posters, I designed “Set Her Free” to highlight the loss of life that human trafficking has on young girls. I chose to use simple, bold icons and colors to keep the impact loud and focus clear.
